I wasn't expecting to like the book since I am not a fan of fantasy, be it beauty and the beast or whatever. But, I got to say this, this book has to be the most original retelling of Beauty and the Beast!This one is a mix of fantasy, romance, suspense, mystery with some supernatural seasonings. At first, I thought it was going to be a ghost story or something. Tate who suffers from a rare autoimmune disease used to lock himself up in his room and never face the world. The disease has affected one side of his face which resulted in deformities. Once Bellamy comes along, she doesn't let Tate feel sorry for himself. Instead pushes him to accept himself and face the reality. Bellamy is patient and always tries to look for the good in people. There were a lot of life lessons in the book. The narration is perfect.
