This review is from: The Art of Thinking Clearly: Better Thinking, Better Decisions (Kindle Edition) Rolf Dobelli talks about a lot of common errors we can all relate to in our lives. Although reading the book doesn't make us better at making decisions but it does make us aware of possible biases we might end up making. The approach of rationalizing our behavior basis evolution is also quite interesting and believable. Overall an interesting read, and will recommend readers especially in their early formative years, if not anything, it might help them be more aware of their own decisions and choices. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful ) Overall good book and can be tried, Verified Purchase(What is this?) This review is from: The Art of Thinking Clearly (Hardcover) A lot of theories has been taken from Daniel Kahneman's "Thinking fast and slow" book, but author has given the credit. The whole book is divided into 100 chapters. If you are God believer than you will feel offended in few chapters ;) Overall good book and can be tried. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Good one, Verified Purchase(What is this?) This review is from: The Art of Thinking Clearly (Hardcover) Nice packaging and design may give this book an aura of credibility. My learning from the book: *Never underestimate the hard work and lower probability of success, just because we are shown more successful people than many more actual failures Absolutely In love with this books, I fulfils its title. A good way of reading it would be highlighting the clearest example in each fallacy in addition to the conclusion. I would say at the end sit down with a pen and paper and try to apply each to your life to consolidate the learning, make a list of all and in important decisions make sure they are error free. |
