5.0 out of 5 stars This thing changed my life., 14 December 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Uno R3 ATmega328P with USB Cable length 1 feet, Compatible with ATMEGA16U2 Arduino (Color may vary) (Misc.)
Before buying this thing, I knew little about the vast electro-world. I accidentally saw this and realised the potential of it. Now my life is changed! I am hooked in the world of electronics, prototyping, open source, etc. A must buy thing for anyone intrested in electronics.

Best things ̢ۥ
Extremely durable, strong solder joints.
Great software
Easy to use and open source
Security functions. This thing is so stubborn that it blew up the L293D IC for itself and didn't even took a scratch!

Recommendations̢ۥ
the operating voltage can be a little higher
more hardware can be used
A rechargeable battery sort of thing can be added

This is not a real Italy made Arduino. This probably is a clone or counterfeit one. I haven't tested it yet. The build was good.
For Genuine Arduino search else where.

Gets detected in Windows 10 automatically.
Whether it is genuine or not I don't know. Too hard to tell, Amazon has edited the product name and added 'generic' to it now. When I purchased, it was written "Arduino UNO" not "Generic Uno", mine has 'Made in Italy' printed on it.

Regardless, it does the job very well. Have used it on LDR circuit, LED circuit and to directly power a toy DC motor (don't do this, DC motor takes more power than it can supply, so it stresses). Works perfectly fine.
