I would have given this polish a straight, bang on -- five stars. Reason being: It flakes considerably when polish is applied on the shoes. I got a brand new horse hair brush to use on this polish. Having read the stellar reviews on Amazon, I was "finally a polish worth it", after a lifetime of sub par products readily available (off-the-shelf) in India. I was quite displeased to see the amount of polish falling off the brush onto the floor -- it appeared quite brittle. I then changed to a brand new synthetic based brush, with similar results. I then placed the tin in the sun for 30 minutes (hoping to melt the oils), but again no result. This creates a mess on the floor or a sheet has to be placed before polishing.

Once the polish has been applied (and flaked), the shoes pick up a great shine. It is better then the usual products. A lot of buffing with a soft cloth is needed, and the shine remains throughout the day. In fact, even the subsequent day (if not trodden... Read more

I had never imagined that I would write a review for a boot polish, but this has turned out to be an exceptional product. It has a high wax content, which makes it feel and smell differently from other brands of boot polish.

High wax content makes this polish a little more difficult to apply than the softer brands one has been using earlier. However, once applied, this polish effectively fills surface cracks and crevices, leaving your shoes soft and supple. It also provides a longer lasting and better finish, so that you will not have to polish your shoes each time you wear them. Even though this polish costs more than other brands, it provides good value for money.

I had bought a pack of two tins of black polish and since I am quite satisfied with the performance, I am inclined to buy the brown version also. My only point of dissatisfaction (the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is that Amazon sells this product only in packs of two or four. So I will end up... Read more

Received the product at right time. I Applied the polish at evening and kept it dry till next morning (actually I forgot that I applied polish so I left dry till morning). Then I brushed it, my black leather sandal (which is unpolished for almost a year) turned into new mirror matte finish sandal.
Note: I applied polish using COTTON CLOTH in circular motion, then dried and then brushed. This method is convenient as well as prevent wastage due to over application.
