The elasticity though is very tight. I had to apply a lot of force to stretch these cords to tie up the big bag. The only worry is the hooks. I did not tested it on long travels but too much force might get the hooks to bend or come out of the cord. On both occasions, it has served its purpose excellently. The cord material is decent and the hooks are sturdy enough to hold the luggage in place, even in high speed, windy conditions and on bumpy surfaces.
