The only reason I have given it 4 stars is it is about a sad and tragic topic - Hitler and the Holocaust and man's inhumanity to man. I think the book is written well. Good simple language. What is the most shocking about World War II which I learnt from this book is the fact that at the end of the war over 60 million people or 3% of the world's population had died. What if those people had lived? Maybe the world would have been a better and different place. In fact, I am sure in my mind that the world would have been better.
