This is my first SSD and the performance improvement is unbelievable. System boot time has been reduced to 5-6 seconds (which was > 30 seconds) before and all the applications launch faster. The PC response became like android where the waiting delay after clicking on an icon has been reduced to virtually unnoticeable. Yeah, for Chrome also :-).

After getting new SSD, I did a fresh Windows installation and it took only about 5 minutes total. Samsung Magician wizard allows performance benchmark and the sequential read speed is more than 23x as that of 7200 RPM hard disk. Random access improved by 612x. During Ubuntu 18.04 test, the system was booted within total 5 seconds.

One more advantage of using SSD is that, even if your RAM is 'relatively' low, the windows paging using secondary storage will be faster which provides even more consistent performance in case of high memory load.

I bought this for my HP 430 G laptop with a m2 slot. But once i tried to install the SSD, my laptop was not switching on. I realized that the slot was m.2 B key but not NVME, with a M key.

I then got a PCIE X4 to M key NVME adapter and plugged it into my desktop through that adapter. I installed Linux mint (with some difficulty in making this a boot drive). Post the installation, Linux mint boots like the WIND, and Android Studio opens in a WINK, and even the emulator loads quickly.

Overall I am thrilled by the device, even though it did not convert my laptop into a BEAST, it has converted my desktop into a MONSTER. I would recommend this device after you have done thorough R&D about NVME, SATA, B Key and M Key. Please dont impulse buy this, without doing due diligence.
