Hitler would rather do odd jobs such as shoveling snow, or beating rugs instead of getting a regular job. Since he had no set income he was forced to move into the ghettos and became somewhat of a bum. He finally got a job painting postcards and advertisements. He had little money still, and spent most his time reading and thinking about what he read.

Good read. The only reason I have given it 4 stars is it is about a sad and tragic topic - Hitler and the Holocaust and man's inhumanity to man. I think the book is written well. Good simple language. What is the most shocking about World War II which I learnt from this book is the fact that at the end of the war over 60 million people or 3% of the world's population had died. What if those people had lived? Maybe the world would have been a better and different place. In fact, I am sure in my mind that the world would have been better. The saddest part in today's world is there are still Holocaust deniers.
