This is my first SSD and the performance improvement is unbelievable. System boot time has been reduced to 5-6 seconds (which was > 30 seconds) before and all the applications launch faster. The PC response became like android where the waiting delay after clicking on an icon has been reduced to virtually unnoticeable. Yeah, for Chrome also :-).

After getting new SSD, I did a fresh Windows installation and it took only about 5 minutes total. Samsung Magician wizard allows performance benchmark and the sequential read speed is more than 23x as that of 7200 RPM hard disk. Random access improved by 612x. During Ubuntu 18.04 test, the system was booted within total 5 seconds.

One more advantage of using SSD is that, even if your RAM is 'relatively' low, the windows paging using secondary storage will be faster which provides even more consistent performance in case of high memory load.

I got a new laptop (lenovo ideapad 330s 14inch). So that came with 4gb ram and 1tb HDD. Now, the performance of the factory configuration was just passable. I did a lot of research and found that the solution would be to put a SSD in it. So I decided to throw in this SSD along with an additional 8gb RAM. Since my laptop has a m.2 slot, I decided to go with this pcie nmve stick.

Let me tell you that the performance has upped by at least 10 times the original state. The boot times are around 15 seconds and the apps open up as soon as you click on them (Note that I have installed win 10 on the SSD itself. To take advantage of full potential of this product, install the OS on the SSD and use the HDD as a secondary mass storage drive). Windows is simple so so much better on an SSD and that too this one. Speeds are simply astounding.
In short, the performance is screeching fast. Great product !!
